We're excited to announce the brilliant Renault Megane RS Trophy and Trophy-R models have joined our driving experience fleet of cars.
Three new driving experiences featuring the Megane RS Trophy and Trophy-R models are now available to purchase. To celebrate, we're putting on three French-themed driving experience days on Thursday 22, Friday 23 and Saturday 24 July.
About the Renault Megane RS Trophy models
Two of the hottest of hot hatch models available on the market today. The Renault Megane RS Trophy and the more extreme Trophy-R. Both are spectacularly quick front-wheel-drive cars.
Renault Megane RS Trophy
The RS Trophy features a firmer chassis than a 'stand' Megane. This model comes with the Renault 4Control four-wheel steering system, limited-slip differential, Brembo brakes behind 19-inch wheels, driven by a 1.8-litre turbo engine and a paddle-shift gearbox. All wrapped in an aggressively styled, bespoke badged front-wheel-drive hot hatch. The chassis serves up huge amounts of grip, plenty of enjoyment and a dose of character, which so many modern cars lack.

Renault Megane RS Trophy-R
The Trophy-R is a hardcore version of the Trophy. Renault have gone to every length to add pace and purpose to the Trophy-R by taking weight out of the car, altering and improving the aerodynamics, and transforming its axle and suspension with a flexible set up by Ohlin which can be tuned to the track. The engine is the same as in the regular Megane Trophy but feels quick given the Trophy-R weighs only 1,306kg. The Trophy-R is the kind of car that will leave you astonished that a front-driven hatchback can be driven so hard – and it’ll keep coming back lap after lap.

Our driving experience days on Thursday 22, Friday 23, and Saturday 24 July will have a distinctly French feel as we celebrate the arrival of the Renault Megane RS Trophy and Trophy-R models.
Visitors can expect a choice of French-inspired food and drink at the Thruxton Centre restaurant, competitions to win some French wine and Champagne, cheese tasting and most importantly a one off French Driving Experience which will only be available on the 22, 23 and 24 July, featuring three very different Groupe Renault products. Magnifique!
The French Connection Driving Experience - £199
Guests will get behind the wheel of three fantastique cars all from Renault. After an initial briefing session, our ARDS qualified race instructor will show you around the circuit to help you find the racing line and braking points. Then it's time to get behind the wheel!
First is the Renault Megane RS Trophy-R. The hardcore version of the RS Trophy. The Trophy-R loses some weight, the paddle-shift gearbox is replaced with a manual box, improved aerodynamics and a bespoke axel and an adjustable suspension system make the Trophy-R an incredible machine.
Next is the Alpine A110. The original from the late sixties was a lightweight, compact, highly agile sports car that the Alpine-Renault team used to claim the World Rally Championship manufacturers’ title in 1973. The same core elements have been used to resurrect and build the new A110 for the modern day. The result is stunning and has catapulted the A110 straight to the top of the sports car tree.
Then it's time for something completely different. Watching Formula 1 will never be the same again after you've experienced driving a single seat racing car on a race circuit. Many of the current crop of F1 drivers have raced in Formula Renault - Kimi Raikkonen and Lewis Hamilton both won the UK series.
Once seated with the racing straps fitted around you the engine bursts into life - you'll feel like a Grand Prix is about to start. Once up to speed, everything clicks into place as you and the car become one, getting quicker every lap, the car responding instantly. A truly unique experience and one that will be remembered for a long time to come.
Finally, our own 'tame racing driver' will take you for a white-knuckle ride in the Renault Megane RS Trophy-R. Expeirencing a car at its full potential is incredible.
