Briefing

Our senior ARDS Race Instructor will give a full briefing detailing the important information you need to know before getting behind the wheel and heading out on track; circuit layout, racing line, turn in, apex, exit, braking, throttle control, driving Position, steering, pedal control, gear change, understanding paddle shift, overtaking and flag signals. As part of the briefing we have a unique CGI sequence which shows how a vehicle reacts to the inputs made by the driver including; chassis dynamics, weight transfer, oversteer and understeer.

Demonstration - Instructor drives

Driving on a race circuit is very different to normal road driving. To make the most of the cars guests will be driving on track you need to learn the racing line and braking points. Our ARDS race instructors will be on hand to help throughout your experience..

The BMW M2 Competition is a rear-drive sports icon: twin-turbo straight-six engine, pin-sharp steering and a double clutch paddleshift gearbox that urges you on. Unleash it at Thruxton Circuit and it truly wakes up, carving through the fast sweepers, then tidily dispatching the Complex and Club Chicane. Sheer driving pleasure.

What to expect from the BMW M2 Thrill

The BMW M2 Competition distils BMW M know-how into a rear-drive coupe with serious intent. Its 3.0-litre twin-turbo straight-six engine delivers all the power the chassis needs and is good for 0–62 mph in a little over four seconds. Power goes to the rear via a slick dual-clutch paddleshift gearbox and an Active M Differential, serving up the classic M recipe of punch and precision.

Flared arches, wide track, quad exhausts and a squat, purposeful silhouette. Inside, M Sport seats, a thick-rim wheel and configurable drive modes set a focused tone. Hit the starter and let the six cylinders fire up.

Out on track, the M2 gathers speed with an effortless prod of the throttle. Steering response is crisp, body control taut, and the chassis talks to you helping build confidence.

It takes only a handful of corners to tune into its rhythm; a few miles later and you’ll be chasing apexes for the sheer joy of it. The M2 Competition blends muscle with nuance - addictive on the UK’s fastest circuit.

BMW M2 on track at Thruxton

One Amazing Car

The BMW M2 feels like it was made to lap Thruxton's fast, sweeping corners. This model is the Competition version equipped with a 405hp, and 406lb-ft of torque from a 3.0l twin-turbo engine mounted up front, with a seven-speed double-clutch transmission that sends all the power to the rear wheels. The Competition model also features bigger brakes and wheels and uprated suspension.
