Alpine A110S - Guest drives

The stunning Alpine A110S is all about the F-word - FUN! It’s ready to deliver its own unique brand of intoxicating fun the moment you drive out of the pitlane on to the circuit. The car instantly gives the driver confidence to push harder, giving feedback through the fast and slower corners. Other sports car do this too but the Alpine A110S does it differently. There's nothing else quite like it.

The stunning R8 is Audi's first attempt at a supercar and they got it right first time. The look of the car is completely different to anything else on the market yet it couldn't be anything else but an Audi. Each R8 is handmade in Germany by specialist teams making each car to a high standard.

What to expect from the Tesco Audi R8 V Alpine A110S Experience

Audi have hit the spot with their first attempt at a supercar. Not only in the handling and performance department but also with the styling, an area which so many manufacturers fail to get right when entering the supercar market.

Out on track the car has the traction you'd expect from Audi with performance that will blow your mind. The 4.2L V8 engines power is delivered through the tyres so effectively, giving you confidence to push the car harder on the UK's fastest race circuit - Thruxton.

Open the door and drop into the driving seat, the car seems to mould around you, hit the starter button and the V8 bangs into life.

Out on track the car gives incredible levels of grip, even at speed. The aluminium chassis gives great feedback to the driver and urges you to push on more and more. With the V8 screaming away just behind your ear, the nose of the car going exactly where you point it, you won't be able to stop yourself smiling.

Preparing you for this drive is the more delicate feeling Alpine A110S. Time in this stunning French coupe will ensure you are fully comfortable and confident with the lines and technique of driving around Thruxton Circuit.

Two Amazing Cars

Stunning to look at and brilliant to drive, equals a fantastic driving experience. Out on track, the Audi R8 is eager to go fast. Audi's four-wheel drive system soaks up the fast sweeping corners at Thruxton whilst the chassis gives lots of feedback to the driver. The V8 engine is perfectly judged for the car, providing the right amount of power when you need it.

The Alpine A110S adds some subtle changes to the already brilliant A110. An extra 39bhp and taking power to 288bhp. The anti-roll bars are 100 per cent stiffer than the standard car, and the springs 50% firmer with the dampers re-tuned to match. The car sits 4mm lower and the tyres are wider. The result is an already brilliant car, turned up to 11!
