Haynes Motor Museum at the Thruxton Historic

We're pleased to welcome the Haynes Motor Museum to Thruxton this weekend for the Thruxton Historic. They're bringing two special cars for display. Make sure you head to the Trade Village where the team from the Haynes Museum will be available to chat.

1964 Ford Mustang 289

Fitted with a V8, 4735 cc, 210 hp Manual gearbox. Hardtop. Painted in Red and has done less than 30k miles from new. The paint has not been touched and it has proper Patina look. The car is also fitted with “Rally_Pac which is a combination clock/tachometer on the steering column. The car was obtained from the USA by Haynes Chairman Chris Haynes and is one of his personal cars.

1968 TVR Tuscan

Fitted with a Holman and Moddy V8 rated at 360 bhp giving a maximum speed of 160 mph. It was driven by John Blundell and John Haynes OBE, the founder of the Haynes Motor Museum. It won the knockout competition at the last Yeovilton meeting and achieved the best time of the day at the now-defunct Weston-Super-Mare speed trials.
