Best Driving Experiences

We've selected some of our top driving experiences to help you find the right one, whether you're chasing adrenaline, getting behind the wheel for the first time, looking for an unforgettable gift or searching for something more budget-friendly. From iconic supercars built for seasoned petrolheads to sessions designed with first-time drivers in mind, there's something here for every car lover.

Every experience is driven at Thruxton, an FIA-certified circuit and the UK's fastest circuit. Here we host the Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship and ZYN British Superbike Championship every year, and the same fast straights and sweeping corners that challenge professional racers are what give these cars room to really perform. That's the difference between a quick spin round a small track and genuinely finding out what a supercar can do.

Best driving experience for maximum performance

If adrenaline is what you're after, this is the category to start with. High-spec supercars, sharp handling and acceleration that pins you back in your seat, built for anyone who wants real intensity from behind the wheel.

Every car here has been picked for performance. Naturally aspirated engines that pull hard, right through the rev range, launch control that gets you from 0-60 in seconds, and all-wheel-drive systems that put the power down cleanly through every corner.

Best driving experience for first-time drivers

Never driven a supercar before? Getting behind the wheel of a high-performance car for the first time is easier than you might think, designed to be safe and just as exciting at any driving skill level.

Before you head out on track, our senior ARDS race instructors run through a full briefing covering everything you need to know: circuit layout, racing line, turn in, apex, exit, braking, throttle control, driving position, steering, pedal control, gear changes and fl ag signals. They then stay with you throughout the experience to help you put it all into practice.

You don’t even need a full driving licence. Selected experiences are even available from age 12, making it possible for younger enthusiasts to take the wheel of a performance car on a real racing circuit.

And if driving isn’t for you, you can still experience the full potential of a performance car from the passenger seat. Our Passenger Ride Experience with Tiff Needell takes you around the circuit, performing seemingly impossible sideways slides and pushing the car to its limits.

Best driving experience under £200

We’ve selected the experiences that offer outstanding value while delivering the full Thruxton experience. Every car is prepared to meet the demands of circuit driving, with performance-focused preparation designed to make the most of the car on track. There’s no compromise on safety, quality or the authenticity of the driving experience.

And when it comes to Thruxton-based experiences, we won’t be beaten on price for a like-for-like experience. So you can choose with confidence, knowing you’re getting exceptional value without compromising on the quality, preparation, performance or safety of the car.
