Young drivers can experience the excitement of being behind the wheel of a modern car while developing the knowledge and practical skills needed to drive safely. With guidance from our experienced instructors, juniors will learn the fundamentals of driving, build confidence and awareness and gain valuable experience in a safe and enjoyable environment.

This experience is for young drivers over 4ft 10 inches (1.47m) tall, over 12 years old and under 17 years old
We will operate the Junior Driving Expeience in the paddock on selected Saturdays and some weekdays during the school holidays

Young drivers who are at least 4ft 10 inches (1.47m) tall and over 12 years old can take part in our Stage 1 Junior Driving Experience. The experience is designed to teach the essential skills required to drive a car.
The experience takes place in the large tarmac paddock areas at Thruxton Circuit.
Drivers will receive expert tuition from a driving instructor in a Mazda MX-5, using the paddock areas to develop their driving skills. The experience begins with the instructor demonstrating the techniques from the passenger seat, before the pupil takes full control of the car and puts their new skills into practice.

The total driving time is 45 minutes, split across two sessions.
The above is what we aim to achieve (and we think we will with most pupils) but everyone is different, with some learning quicker than others, our instructors will tailor each session to the individual pupil
