What to expect from the Ford Mustang PLUS Driving Experience

Guests will drive three fantastically different cars as part of this driving experience. A sports car in the form of the Alpine A110S, a single seat racing car and the latest and best Ford Mustang.

Since its launch in 1965, the Ford Mustang has become one of the world’s most recognisable sports coupes and an iconic American muscle car and star of one of the best car chases on film in Bullitt. Steve McQueen flies around San Francisco in a 1968 Mustang 390 GT. Now in its 6th generation Thruxton have the latest version of the famous V8 Coupe which produces much more power than even the largest 7 litre cars from the late 60’s but more importantly now has a sophisticated 21st Century chassis with a multi-link rear axle and Brembo brakes.

As soon as you start the new Mustang, you will fire up a range of advanced technologies and 444hp of pure American muscle. The active valve exhaust systems allow you to experience even more of the big V8’s character. The wide open smooth sweeps of Thruxton give an ideal opportunity to experience by far the most capable and complete Ford Mustang and now that it is an official UK car, the steering wheel is on the right side!

Before driving the Ford Mustang guests will have a chance to learn the race circuit with an ARDS qualified race instructor initially as a passenger and then driving the Alpine A110S. The Alpine A110S is a fantastic sports car that outperforms other more expensive machinery. A great car that gives the driver lots of confidence behind the wheel.

After driving the stunning Ford Mustang, its time for a totally different driving experience, the Formula Renault single seat racing car. Lewis Hamilton won the UK series on his way to Formula 1. Seated in the car everything feels very raw. Flick the engine starter and noise suddenly overwhelms the senses. Head out on track for truly unique driving experience, one that will never be forgotten.

Looks cool, sounds cool. It's not sophisticated, but it is enormously good fun.
