The Regain Cycling Festival 2023
On Saturday 16th September 2023, the spinal injury charity Regain will be hosting their first ever Regain Cycling Festival at Thruxton.
The Regain Cycling Festival is a fully inclusive event and it’s open to people of all ages and all abilities. They are challenging people from across the UK to cycle 10, 20 or 30 laps of our iconic Thruxton Circuit. They are also offering a Family Challenge where children aged 4-14 can cycle 1-3 laps of the track. The event also includes the opportunity for tetraplegics to take part in a hand cycling taster experience and to meet other tetraplegics.
Whether you take part in the Family Cycle Challenge or the Gold Challenge, you will be supported all the way with their British Cycling event support team, which includes mechanics, medics and a roaming cycling support team. The pit lane will also be open for refreshments during the challenge or if you need a break. In the evening there will be a post event party, which is open to people that aren’t taking part in the challenge too.
All funds raised from the day will support Regain, the only charity dedicated to improving the lives of people who have become tetraplegic in a sporting accident.
