THRUXTON TO HOST TWO BTCC EVENTS ONCE AGAIN IN 2022

Thruxton Circuit will stage two rounds of the British Touring Car Championship next year following confirmation of the 2022 calendar today (June 30).

Britain’s premier motorsport series will tackle the fastest circuit in the UK for the time on 28/29 May for Rounds 4, 5 & 6 before returning later in the year on 27/28 August for Rounds 22, 23 & 24.

Confirmation of the 2022 schedule means that the Hampshire venue will stage two rounds of the BTCC for the third time in four years, underlining its appeal to both competitors and spectators.

Donington Park is set to stage the season opener next year before visits to Brands Hatch, Thruxton, Oulton Park and Croft round out the first half of the season.

Knockhill, Snetterton, a second trip to Thruxton and Silverstone will follow after the mid-season break before a champion is crowned back at Brands Hatch in early October.
