Thruxton Circuit ready for Convoy on the Plain

Thruxton Circuit is revved up and ready for the ultimate festival of all things trucking this weekend (8/9 July) as the Hampshire venue stages the third edition of Convoy on the Plain, which is set to be headlined by the British Truck Racing Championship.

In what is always a popular and well-attended race meeting on the Thruxton calendar every year, the two-day event is poised to be bigger and better than ever this year with action and entertainment guaranteed both on and off the track.

Topping the bill on-circuit will be five colossal contests from the British Truck Racing Championship. Weighing in at more than five tonnes and producing in excess of 1000bhp, the heavyweight behemoths are primed to put on quite a show.

Ryan Smith, Stuart Oliver and David Jenkins are just some of the leading lights that will be battling for honours in Division 1 whilst the likes of Adam Bint, John Powell and Paul Rivett will be worth keeping an eye on in Division 2.

It won’t just be the titans of truck racing that will have fans on the edge of their seats either as a bumper support bill of British Automobile Racing Club championships will also be in action over the course of the weekend.

Wheel-to-wheel thrills from the Morphmy Caterham Graduates Championship, Kumho BMW Championship, Lancaster Insurance MG Owners Club Championship, OT Publishing Coupe Cup, Pickup Truck Racing Championship and MINI CHALLENGE Clubsport Championship will undoubtedly set pulses racing.

Of course, there is as much to see and do off the track as there is on it; with a host of attractions set to dazzle everyone that walks through the main gate.

Show Trucks, Red Dragon Monster Truck Rides, Transformers, Live Music, Autograph Sessions, a Grid Walk and a Kids Zone are just some of the must-see attractions on offer - all of which will add up to make it a weekend to remember.

Tickets for this weekend’s unmissable spectacle are on sale now HERE. Children 15 and under go free!

Tickets will also be available on the day at the gate. Programmes will be available to purchase during the course of the weekend.
