Convoy Thruxton Review: 5-6 July 2025

Convoy Thruxton Review – A High-Octane Weekend Delivered!

Convoy Thruxton roared to life over the weekend (5–6 July), as Thruxton Circuit staged an action-packed event that brought the British Truck Racing Championship and a full-scale festival to the UK's fastest race track. From the roar of 1,000 bhp racing trucks to spectacular off-track entertainment, the event lived up to its name.

Racing Highlights – Five Gripping Races

A packed crowd of fans witnessed five edge-of-your-seat races across Division 1 and Division 2.

Division 1
Delivered pure drama, with Ryan Smith, Stuart Oliver, Tom O’Rourke, David Smith, and John Bowler each grabbing a win - five different winners from five races. Following medical clearance post-treatment, nine-time champ Ryan Smith took pole position and stormed to victory in Race 1, only to be disqualified in Race 2, handing Stuart Oliver the win. Sunday saw thrilling triumphs, first from Tom O’Rourke with a paddock wide popular win, David Smith took his first win since returning to the championship, and John Bowler took victory in the final race - showcasing the fierce competitiveness of the top division.

Division 2
Simon Cole dominated with three wins, despite battling damage to his windscreen, while Bradley Harvey impressed with two strong victories. Championship leader Jake Evans suffered engine failure which put him out for the whole weekend, opening the field and adding to the drama.

Festival Fun – Beyond the Racing

Convoy Thruxton is more than just on-track drama. The event offered a full weekend of entertainment and unique attractions:
