NG Road Racing Club Returns to Thruxton

Thruxton Circuit, is delighted to announce that the NG Road Racing Club (NGRRC) will return to the Hampshire venue in August 2026

The run up to the race meeting will feature a motorcycle test day on Thursday 20 August, followed by a full NG Road Racing Club Championship meeting across Saturday 22 and Sunday 23 August. It marks NG’s first race event at Thruxton since 2017 and builds on the long-standing relationship between the Club and the circuit

Lorne Mitchener, Sales Manager at Thruxton Circuit, said: “We’re thrilled to welcome NG Road Racing back to Thruxton Circuit for 2026. Our track is renowned for fast, flowing motorcycle racing and this NGRRC race meeting gives riders - from aspiring club competitors to seasoned campaigners - the chance to experience the UK’s fastest circuit at its best. We value our partnership with NG and look forward to delivering a safe, spectacular and highly competitive event of two-wheel action for riders, teams and fans.”

“It’s absolutely fantastic to re-establish our relationship with Thruxton. NG last raced here in 2017, returning briefly in 2021 to christen the new Thruxton Hospitality Centre with our presentation evening. Despite the absence, our relationship with the Thruxton team has remained very strong and bringing NG back is exciting for our members, sponsors and the wider racing community. We’ve all seen how dramatic the Bennetts British Superbike Championship is around here, now we’re proud to provide a platform for more recreational competitors to race this iconic venue.”

Motorbikes racing on track

The NG Championship weekend is set to showcase a broad spread of machinery and talent, with classes for virtually all modern bikes alongside a mouth-watering line-up of Grand Prix machinery, including the 250GP ACU National Championship and 125cc/350cc GP National Championships.

Adding to the spectacle, the Lansdowne Classic National Championship will bring the sights and sounds of historic racing back to Thruxton - think Manx Nortons, Matchless G50s and more.
